Clean Camerawork


Hi everyone, its Rhys again. Next week is the vertical slice so Kate and I have prettied up the game a little more in preparation. The game is starting to come together and feel like an actual game instead of just a  prototype now. I'm excited to be working on our little armadillo giving him life and a world to roll through.

Kate was able to create an amazing camera system that follows the armadillo through the stage while simultaneously showing off the level to the player, moving the camera like this has given the game so much clarity thanks to its ability to show off large sections of the stage as the player progresses through it. I could go on for ages talking about how great the camera is but you get the point.

Meanwhile I finally finished bringing life to our main character. the armadillo is fit with animations for idle, running and of course, rolling! The armadillo finally looks natural as he makes his way through the stages.
